Description and features

Briareum, also known as star polyp or green polyp coral, is an attractively branching soft coral that forms a dense, lively surface with its numerous, finely structured polyps. Depending on the light and nutrients available, the coral displays bright green polyps that constantly move in the water flow and give the aquarium a natural, dynamic appearance. Its robust nature and rapid growth make it one of the most popular soft corals in saltwater aquariums.

Keeping and care

Briareum is a Easy to care for and adaptable coral, which thrives particularly well in a medium current and with good lighting. It grows in branches and quickly forms new colonies on rocks, back walls or reef structures, making it ideal for visual accents and extensive growth areas. As a hardy starter coral, it tolerates fluctuations and harmonizes easily with fish, invertebrates and other soft corals. Stable water quality and occasional feeding with fine plankton support its healthy growth and intense coloration.
