Acropora ‘Confetti’ ist keine eigenständige wissenschaftliche Art, sondern eine Handels- bzw. Hobbybezeichnung. Vermutlich handelt es sich um eine Farb- und Wuchsvariante der Acropora plana, die ursprünglich aus indonesischen Farmen stammt. Der Name „Confetti“ wurde durch die beliebte Vivid’s Confetti bekannt und hat sich seitdem für ähnlich aussehende Morphen etabliert.

Herkunft:

Indonesien – meist aus nachhaltiger Zucht (Farmkorallen) oder Ablegern von Signature-Tieren.

Wuchsform:

Lockere Tischform mit filigranen, dünnen Ästen.
Die Spitzen sind sehr fein, leicht zerbrechlich und tragen lange, deutlich sichtbare Polypen.

Farbvariationen:

Stark fluoreszierend und je nach Stamm, Genetik und Haltung in verschiedenen Nuancen zu finden:

• Gewebe leuchtet von innen – orange, golden oder grünlich
• Polypen: hellgrün bis gelb
• Spitzen: rosa bis violett oder pink-opak

Lichtbedarf:

Mittel bis hoch – Acropora ‘Confetti’ bevorzugt hellere Standorte im oberen oder mittleren Riffbereich.

Da die Äste eng stehen und feine Strukturen bilden, ist eine gute Durchströmung nötig, um Ablagerungen (Detritus) zu vermeiden.

Nährstoffansprüche:

Tolerant in einem breiten Bereich, wichtig sind stabile Werte ohne schnelle Schwankungen.

• Phosphat: 0,02–0,15 mg/l
• Nitrat: 2–15 mg/l
  Zu wenig Nährstoffe führen zu blasseren Farben, zu viel zu dunklerem Gewebe.

Wachstum:

Sehr schnell!
Ableger können sich innerhalb weniger Wochen verdoppeln oder verdreifachen.

Schwierigkeitsgrad:

Mittel – auch für SPS-Einsteiger geeignet, die bereits Erfahrung mit Montipora oder Stylophora haben.
