As the name suggests, the polyps of LPS are somewhat larger than those of their small polyp counterparts. LPS come in many shapes and colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What they have in common, however, is that they have lower requirements in terms of water values and lighting than the small polyp stony corals. LPS can cope with significantly higher nutrient values than acropores, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the size of the polyps, LPS can also be fed. You should make sure that the food is adapted to the size of the mouths - and you shouldn't overfeed the animals either.
