The TK Mango Garden is a colorful Acropora divaricata<\/em> and is one of Tom's signature corals. The name came about seven years ago, inspired by a similar-looking animal from the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An intensive color gradient is typical for this coral: from a green fluorescent base area to a rich orange to bright red tips - particularly impressive under blue light. The colors also remain clearly visible in daylight, although the coral then appears more yellowish-green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mango Garden initially grows rather flat with a large basal disc. As soon as it has established itself, it quickly branches upwards and forms a table-like crown with massive branches. In large tanks, it can reach a diameter of up to 60 cm and form a dense, flat table with upright growing branches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coral prefers moderate to strong light. At around 300 PAR, it develops its full colour spectrum, with more light emphasizing the red tips even more. Compared to other acropores, it is robust in the face of fluctuating nutrient levels, but develops its most beautiful colors under moderate conditions. Nitrate levels of 2 to 10 mg\/l and phosphate levels of 0.02 to 0.1 mg\/l are ideal. However, it can also tolerate higher values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mango Garden loves strong, turbulent currents. For large colonies in particular, it is important that the inner areas are also well flowed through. A wave-like current that pushes into the coral from above is ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite its colorfulness and size, the TK Mango Garden is well suited for beginners in SPS keeping. It grows quickly, is color-stable and regenerates reliably after stress or parasite infestation. Acropora flatworms can occur, but are rarely a major problem with this coral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
