Eunicea - Resistant gorgonian for dynamic marine aquariums
Description and features
The Eunicea gorgonia is a robust, fast-growing soft coral that impresses with its striking, thick branches and eye-catching polyps. Depending on the species, its color palette ranges from beige and brown to fascinating shades of purple and violet. Thanks to its strong, structured growth habit, it brings depth, movement and natural elegance to any saltwater aquarium. With its widely extending polyps, Eunicea creates a lively appearance and an active current.
Keeping and care
Eunicea gorgonians belong to the easy-care and adaptable gorgonian species. They prefer medium to strong currents so that their polyps can filter optimally. As active nutrient utilizers, they absorb fine plankton, dusty food and dissolved organic matter and thus contribute to the stability of the aquarium biology. Thanks to its robust nature and high tolerance of fluctuating conditions, Eunicea is ideal for mixed reef aquariums with fish, invertebrates and other soft corals.
This coral is 'off the shelf'.
This means that this is not a single animal with an original photo. You will receive an offshoot of the same species as shown in the photo. As these are animals, growth and color may vary depending on water values, age or light. With zoas, the number of polyps can also vary - but there are usually more rather than fewer polyps on the offshoots that go out to you.
