In marine aquariums, the current is one of the most discussed topics, which is why it is always a challenge to adjust it optimally to the needs of the animals. As flow pumps have a specific orientation, the direction of flow is fixed and not very varied. With the OceanMotion, it is possible to set flow pumps to a freely adjustable rotational movement.

The resulting flow pattern is very varied and turbulent, imitating the natural conditions in the reef very well. This ensures a significantly better flow in reef aquariums with fewer pumps or pumps with reduced output, which can prevent detritus deposits.

Product description

The OceanMotion is a rotating unit to which any commercially available flow pump can be installed. This causes the pump to rotate, creating a unique, varied flow pattern in the aquarium. The motor in the rotating unit is able to cover a 270° movement.

The settings for the angle of rotation, the rotation speed and any feed pauses and night shutdowns can be easily adjusted via a web interface that is connected to the OceanMotion controller.

Each OceanMotion turntable requires a suitable bracket for the pump that is to be installed on the turntable. You can find the right brackets in the menu item “Pump brackets”. If the desired pump bracket is not listed, please send us a message and we will design and build your individual bracket.

• A suitable controller is required to operate the OceanMotion rotary units
• The OceanMotion may only be operated with the controller intended for this purpose
• The OceanMotion may only be operated out of the water. The OceanMotion is not waterproof, the housing only protects the drive from splashing water
